17 Sep Host a Back to School Party
Bringing back an oldie, but a goodie. Help your kids be excited about this new school year with a party! If your local restrictions allow for gatherings, get together with friends, if not then consider hosting a virtual party.
Calling all teachers, parents, and PTA Presidents! Believe it or not, it’s that time of year – the kids are heading back to school! While we all love summertime and the bonding it affords us, the start of a new school year has its own excitement and sometimes butterflies. To set those nervous butterflies free, throw a Back to School party to get the kids pumped!
You know we’re obsessed with parties and balloons here so we’ve rounded up a few amazing ideas to get things kicked off in the right direction.
BRING THEIR SUPPLIES
Why settle for small pencils and crayons when you can have giant writing utensils? We specialize in creating balloon statues to make any celebration magical. From crayons to colored pencils to regular #2 pencils the kids will love seeing their supplies as gigantic decorations!
SCHOOL PHOTO BACKDROP
Very few of us survived school picture day with a decent photo. Give your kids the chance to have fun with it by offering a fun balloon-covered backdrop for their party photos. When picture day rolls around they’ll feel more relaxed and you might come away with a photo you actually want to frame! Win-win!
LIFE SIZE LETTERS
If your little ones are brand new to the school scene and kicking things off with Kindergarten this year they’ll love seeing giant ABCs at their party. Sticking with what they know will help them get excited and feel more comfortable with the idea of starting this new adventure. For older kids who already know how to read, consider a Back To School, balloon letter banner!
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
This is a great opportunity to get creative with the school theme – especially if your kids aren’t super excited about heading back to the classroom. Create a school bus from a large cardboard refrigerator box that they can drive or we could make one from balloons! Use paper mache to create decorative apples to hang around the party or create a paper mache globe to use as a pinata for some party time fun!
Get your kids involved in the planning and just have fun with it!
