HAPPY EARLY MOTHER’S DAY

HAPPY EARLY MOTHER’S DAY

We’re taking a break from our usual topics to celebrate you. Mom. Mother. Mommy. Mum. Mama. However you’re called in your home – we see you and we know that you do a lot! So here’s a “Happy Mother’s Day” a little early from us. What better way to celebrate than by pressing pause on your day to read a few heartwarming anecdotes about why kids think their Mom is so great!

You’re Out of This World

“My Mother’s Day card last year from my eldest, then aged 3 — he had drawn a lovely picture of me, then the teacher at nursery had written under it — ‘I love my mummy because…’ he wrote ‘…she’s an alien’!!!”

You’re a Master Chef

You know you’ve peaked at motherhood when this year’s Mother’s Day card says, “Thank you for cooking my fish fingers.” All in a day’s work 🙂

You Are Beautiful

“One morning at breakfast, my 6 year old suddenly called out ‘Hands up if you’re beautiful!’, putting her hand up at the same time. The other two (age 10 & 3) also shot up their hands. Then my 10 year old came over to me and put my hand up too. That was wonderful – and still gets me every time I think of it.”

You Provide the Essentials

Don’t worry if you’ve checked off all the boxes for that day. “Thank you for looking after me and for my pyjamas.” Your kids are calling it a win!

You Are Wonder Woman

In response to his mother finding a lost toy: “Mummy, you are a superhero!”

You Need a Break Too

“I know you have had a stressful day so I have made your bed so if you go to bed late it is ready. I love you!” Kids really do pick up on things.

You Put Rainbows in Their Heart

One mom’s child had draw a large heart on the card, “It’s a big heart mummy, because you are special. I love you so much, you put a rainbow in my heart.” Nothing sweeter than hearts and rainbows from your littles!

Thanks to our friends over at kiddycharts.com for the tender stories! This Mother’s Day just remember that you’re doing a great job and you are so, so loved!
