01 Jan NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS FROM KIDS
As you set your goals for the upcoming year, here are a few resolutions from the children of our friends over at Parents.com! Get ready to smile and to feel inspired.
Adopt a “Green” Lifestyle
I have five kids, and they decided to use less energy, so they are cutting out 90 percent of TV usage, unplugging everything we don’t use daily, and walking to school! — Millie Radona
Donate Hair to Locks of Love
My girls did theirs this summer; they donated 10 inches of their hair to Locks of Love, in honor of my cousin, who died of cancer and in honor of my best friend, who is 29 and fighting stage 4 breast cancer. –Meredith Stasio
Always Have Fun
Last year we held a New Year’s Eve playdate and we counted down at noon for the kids. That night, at bedtime, I was telling my son (then 4 years old) about resolutions, and without pausing he told me, “I want to have parties where we throw confetti and make lots of noise once a week.” — Katie Dugan
Stop Eating Junk Food
My girls decided on no more fast food “minus a pizza every now and then,” and we figured if we can cut that out, it would be a good lifestyle change. We already limit junk food that comes in the house. — Katie Fitch
Help Mom Quit Smoking
My son is 9. He decided to make it his goal to help me quit smoking. Kids — gotta love them! — Lorena Kerrigan
Master Milestones
My son just turned 2 years old; his resolution is to learn to use their big-boy potty. My second child is in the womb and “says” his/her resolution is to sleep through the night as fast as possible. — Ronella Collins
