It’s a great time of year to go apple picking! We’ve found some great locations nearby to go. Check em out!

 

DOWLING FRUIT ORCHARD

Beaumont, CA

If you’re looking for more than just apples, this is your place. At Dowling Fruit Orchard they go above and beyond the pick-your-own fruits by supplying in season goodies like nuts, chocolate fudge, cranberry almond brittle, cactus jelly, veggies, strawberries, and dates.

 

RILEY’S FARM

Yucaipa, CA

This family-owned farm is truly one of a kind. The workers dress in traditional Colonial attire and speak with corresponding accents. Breakfast is available in the Tavern beginning at 8 am and the rest of the property opens at 9 am. Baskets are available for those looking to pick fruit and workers will give you a quick rundown on how to properly pick the fruit. Riley’s Farm also sells pies, jerky, nuts, candy, apple cider, and fruit preserves. WILLOWBROOK APPLE FARM

Yucaipa, CA

You can pick apples at Willowbrook every Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm. Some of the trees have been around for over 100 years! Once you’ve had your fill of picking the delicious Stayman Winesap apples you can press them into cider using an old fashioned cider press. The on-site shop provides candles, honey, jams and jellies, fresh caramel apples, and toys. Make sure you stop for a photo op with one of their vintage tractors and check out the farm animals.

 

MOM’S COUNTRY ORCHARD

Yucaipa, CA

Specializing in Gala and Spartan apples, Mom’s Country Orchard has a lot to offer. Beyond the fresh fruit they also produce oils, herbs, culinary lavender, pickled products, nut butters, fruit butters, and BBQ sauces. They also sell books, gift baskets and the usual fruit jams and honey. One of the few locations open ALL year (except for Christmas Day) they offer freshly picked seasonal fruits and veggies. Mom’s Country Orchard will actually ship produce to you if you order online or place an order over the phone!
